Legends Outlets Welcomes First Amendment Brew HaHa Comedy Club, Opening June 18.
A Bold New Stage for Comedy, House-Crafted Brews, and Free Speech
KANSAS CITY, KAN. (May 30, 2025) – Get ready to laugh out loud and without limits. The highly anticipated First Amendment Brew HaHa Comedy Club will officially open its doors on Wednesday, June 18, 2025, at Legends Outlets in Kansas City, Kansas, transforming the former Stanford & Sons Comedy Club space into a lively, uncensored hub for comedy and conversation. It is the spot where owner Steve Kramer started his comedy career before moving to Los Angeles.
Located at 1867 Village West Pkwy, Ste. D-201, the 6,655-square-foot venue sits on the upper level of Legends Outlets, parallel to Dave & Buster’s, and pays tribute to the freedom of expression by creating a space where comedians can perform without censorship and audiences can enjoy an unfiltered night out. The theatre seats 250 people and the space also boasts a patio bar which opens seasonally.
In addition to comedy acts Wednesday through Saturday, First Amendment Comedy Club will have Open Mic Nights on Mondays and Karaoke on Tuesdays. During football season, Sundays, watch a ten-foot Patrick Mahomes in the theatre on a 255-inch screen, or outside at the patio bar.
After traveling the world doing stand-up and a successful career in Hollywood, including starring in the comedy sketch series Hype with comedians Terry Sweeny and Frank Caliendo, Kramer is excited to return to his roots. “I am from Kansas City and love everything about it. The people, the Royals and the Chiefs, I embrace everything Kansas City and I am excited to open a comedy club that will become part of the fabric of this vibrant city,” Kramer said. “We’re proud to open our doors at Legends Outlets and in a community that appreciates good beer, great conversation, and even better punchlines. I set out to make this the best comedy club in the U.S. and we are well on our way.”
With a mission rooted in the First Amendment, the club welcomes diverse voices, bold ideas, and the kind of laughter that sparks both joy and dialogue. In addition to a rotating lineup of national-level comedians and special guests, the club features house-crafted beers and freshly roasted coffee, making it a standout nightlife destination. Food offerings to start will be simple but satisfying, including classic comedy club fare such as popcorn, nachos, pretzels, hot dogs, and potato chips. Full food menu to follow.
