Legends Outlets is welcoming another holiday season with its 15th Annual Legendary Tree Lighting Ceremony on Saturday, Nov. 16, from 5-8 p.m., offering festive fun for the entire family. Centered around its 45-foot holiday tree, the ceremony will feature holiday entertainment and activities, including live music, prize giveaways, complimentary hot cider, kids’ crafts, and photos with Santa. This year, the lighting of tree will take place earlier – between 5:45-6:15 p.m. – with live music and activities continuing after the tree lighting, until 8 p.m.

Date: Saturday, Nov. 16, 5-8 p.m.
The Display: A 45-foot holiday tree returns this year as the Legends Outlets’ main centerpiece, located at the center of the Civic Courtyard Fountain in front of AMC Legends 14 Movie Theater. The tree is decorated with festive LED-lighted snowflakes and a three-foot-six-inch snowfall topper featuring a mix of static LED light bars and double-sided LED animated show tubes. During the ceremony, festive decorations will light up throughout the shopping center and continue through early January 2020.
Parker 3D, an international holiday design company based in Scotch Plains, New Jersey, is the producer of the holiday lighting show.
Emcees: This year’s official tree lighting ceremony emcees are 41 Action News anchors Taylor Hemness and Lindsay Shively. They will take center stage at 5 p.m. to kick off the ceremony, introduce the musicians and assist Santa Claus in leading the countdown to the tree lighting at approximately 5:45 p.m.

Families can create special memories from the evening as they enjoy fun, free activities in the center courtyard and The Lawn at Legends Outlets, a new community space at the west end of the center. Activities include the following:

- Selfie station
- Children’s craft station (ornament decorating)
- Hot cider station
- Wish list station
- Yard games
Holiday characters including the Abominable Snowman will be roaming around the center passing out magical holiday glasses.
Live Holiday Music: 5-8 p.m.
Throughout the tree lighting ceremony, local musicians from various bands will perform classic holiday music that the whole family can enjoy. Musicians include the following:

Photos with Santa: 6:15-8 p.m.
Santa will visit Legends Outlets to lead the tree lighting countdown and ignite a center-wide light display. After the tree lighting at approximately 6:15 p.m., Santa will be stationed just west of the center courtyard, between Converse Factory Store and Tommy Hilfiger Outlet, for fun, family photos. Photos are free, and guests will receive a shareable digital copy and print-out of their photo.
Giveaways: 5-8 p.m.
Guests can visit Legends Outlets’ VIP tent in the center courtyard to register for the chance to win 15 different prizes in honor of the 15th annual tree lighting. Prizes include a Legends Outlets weekend getaway package for two, jewelry from Helzberg Diamonds Outlet, a gift basket from Dave & Buster’s, and gift cards to retailers such as Nike Factory Store, Eddie Bauer, J.Crew Factory, and more. Legends Outlets will randomly select and notify prize winners throughout the evening. Winners must claim their prize by 8:30 p.m. at the Legends Outlets VIP tent.
Guests can also spin Legends Outlets’ prize wheel for their chance to win items such as hot chocolate from Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory, Longhorn Steakhouse certificates, Topsy’s Popcorn and more!
Shopping: 10 a.m.-9 p.m.
Legends Outlets will be open normal operating hours on Nov. 16, from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m., for all-day shopping and savings at its nearly 75 leading designer and favorite brand-name outlet stores. Shoppers can enjoy numerous pre-Black Friday sales and special discounts at various retailers, including 40 percent off everything at Tommy Hilfiger Outlet, $1.50 refills on hot cocoa at Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory, buy one get one 50 percent off shoes at Vans Outlet, get a free Xbob One S with purchase of $1,199 or more at Helzberg Diamonds Outlets, and many more.
